Situated in Auckland's Mount Roskill, Akarana Golf Club was formed in the late 1920's and today is one of the most centrally located golf clubs in New Zealand's largest city.

The Akarana Golf Club were also early to embrace the modern age in terms of creating a web presence and Jet Web Design has worked with them from the start to make the most of this ever dynamic platform.

Using Jet Creative's CK5  CMS product, Akarana management and staff can quickly add interesting articles to their website - to many different pages for maximum exposure to the right audience.

Using CK5's email management tool, club manager Travis Gawler simply selects articles from a list - usually the latest articles but he can select older ones for interest/reminder sake - and sets the email to send at a pre-determined date and time.  He can even select which groups he sends the email to, very handy for dedicated emails to staff or suppliers or specific membership groups (e.g. Womens Nine Hole members). "I like how quickly I can build up these emails from the list of stories we have already published and within a few clicks it is all done!" says Travis.

Another new functionality Travis loves is CK5's image resizing.  "Now I don't have to resize my images to fit the page, I just upload what I have and Content King does the rest!", including the creation of thumbnail images for story teasers in the various sidebar lists on the site.

Jet Creative's relationship with Akarana is a fine example of partnering for improvement.  Jet Creative's web team leader Gabb is constantly in communication with Travis on the latest and greatest things to come out of the web and whether both parties should consider implementing them.
